I found that Healey in the early eighties near Vienna, where it was stored for a long time next to other oldtimers in a warehouse, covered by layers of dust. After refilling gasoline and hooking up a new battery it fired up without any problems – and drove right into the middle of my garage.
After thoroughly cleaning and polishing the car, my wife used it as a daily driver.
Afterwards, I disassembled the car completely and re-built it frame up. Since it is fnished, it has been used only on occasion

The car’s condition was not so bad, when I bought it. A british everyday car. Whereas, I wonder, why the British built such nice convertibles, did it not rain so often, back then?

Anyway, -- if done properly, then it has do be done completely – dismount all parts, remove the paint layers, remove rust, primer and paint everything, and assemble again.

Engine and transmission did not require major refurbishment, but all rubber parts and worn mechanical parts were replaced. The brake lines and master cylinder were also replaced.

Slowly, a vehicle emerged from that pile of parts.
